UV Women's Expo: Thank you for visiting!

Thanks to everyone who attended the Utah Valley Women's Expo. The spring show is always a lot of fun with the warm weather outside. I loved being able to share our natural-based pampering products with everyone who came by. It was a blast meeting everyone and I hope you all had a wonderful time. See you again at their fall show!

This cart made setting up a breeze!

Mother's Day Special: While Supplies Last

Give mom a break this mother's day with this berries and cream bubbling bath bar. This ready-to-go gift has a place to write a personal message inside the lid so mom can read it every time she opens it. This bath bar is unlike any other product we have because it has 6 segmented squares that you can break off for each use which means mom will definitely get 6 uses out of this. It's also sulfate-free of course.

This product is only available while supplies last so be sure to get it before it's gone for good. You can order HERE or contact me at poshbysimone@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Making My Own Business Tools

One of the perks of a being a Perfectly Posh consultant is that there aren't a ton of rules for the right way to do things. This is especially apparent when it comes to what we can use for our businesses. For the most part, as long as we use the "independent consultant" logo then we are able to make any type of marketing tool we want which is excellent especially when you're first starting out. All of Perfectly Posh's designs and branding is done by co-founder, Ann Dalton, and she is the queen of making things look good. Not only does she give us consultants great design inspiration, she also makes everything available for us to download and use for free. The Posh library of images is endless which is so nice when you're wanting to make that perfect flyer.

My new banner design

Now, you don't have to make your own business tools if you don't want to. I have an interest in graphic design so I've naturally trended toward making my own images from time to time, but this is definitely not something that every consultant must do. Perfectly Posh already provides everything you would ever need ready-made and available for purchase in the Posh Portal for great prices. This post is more for those who are interested in adding their own touch to existing images. Whether it be to simply add your own info to a picture or to make something more complicated, this post will give you an easy how-to so that you can get it done on your own. (*Note: This isn't just for Perfectly Posh consultants. This post is also useful for anyone interested in learning a bit more about graphic design for their own personal use.)

New business cards - Side 1
New business cards - Side 2

To begin, you don't need a fancy program to start off. Photoshop, Publisher, and the like are definitely great for designing, but they're not really necessary for the beginner. If you have Paint installed on your computer (it's standard on most PCs) then you're ready to go. If you want to get a bit fancier and have more options, then I would suggest downloading Paint.net which is a nicer version of Paint that is available for free. You can download it HERE. Be sure to click on the download link on the right side of the page. Finding the download link can be tricky so hopefully this direct link will help you find it easily. Personally, I use Paint.net. I haven't figured out how to use Photoshop and I don't like Publisher as much, so I just stick with Paint.net.

Perfectly Posh fonts in Posh's pink

The following are free fonts that are similar to the ones that Perfectly Posh uses:

Hopefully this gives you an idea of where to start when making your own images and prints. You'll have to play with it a bit to figure out all the features, but it's easy enough for most things. Remember: Spend your time wisely. If this is taking too long to figure out, move on to something more productive. Good luck and have fun! I'd love to see what you come up.
